Two spontaneous tales from the mythical island of Siliconesia.

The Glass Orchestra is a new music ensemble featuring all glass instruments. Although two of the musicians presented here left the ensemble in the mid 1980s, The GO continues to perform in the Toronto area.

In 1981, The Glass Orchestra (Toronto) was
Eric Cadesky, Miguel Frasconi, Marvin Green, Paul Hodge.
All were original members of the group founded in 1977.

Miguel Frasconi uses electronics, laptop, and an instrumentarium of glass objects to create music from a uniquely imagined tradition. His glass instruments are struck, blown, stroked, smashed and otherwise coaxed into vibration. Miguel's music is on New Albion Records, Porter Records, and soon on Tzadik.
